Maverick Keyword Researcher Preview – August 2010

I made some updates to the Maverick Keyword Researcher in August but I didn’t post an update on the blog because I was recovering from corrective jaw surgery.

5 New Keyword Sources

1. Google Sets
2. Google Trends
3. Google Wonder Wheel
4. Yahoo Buzz
5. Yahoo Buzz Index

I added a couple more keyword sources in to the application to expand the possibilities of the number of keyword ideas you can get.

Split Up the Google Keyword Tool into 6 Separate Tools

1. Google Suggest
2. Google related searches
3. Google Sets
4. Google Synonyms
5. Google Insight for Searches
6. Google Seach-based keyword tool

Previously, I merged 5 Google keyword tools into one but I found that to be too troublesome to maintain over time and I decided it would be easier to split it up into individual keyword tools.

If you count all the tools in the screen shot, you will see 8 Google keyword tools including Google AdWords and Google Wonder Wheel.

Updated the PHP Code to Support PHP 5.3.x and Above

I had to edit the source code to eliminate the use of some deprecated PHP code in PHP 5.3.x.

Added Stop Buttons in the Brainstorm and Suggestions Sections

I don’t know why I forgot this earlier on but I have added stop buttons in the brainstorm and suggestions sections so that you have the option to stop the search.
